The Responsible Dreamer

The Responsible Dreamer could be a philosophy of life or just total BS. Dreamers are often accused of not being able to relate to the reality of their situation and getting lost in their dreams. And that may be fine if you are a loner or filthy rich and it just doesn't matter what you do and to whom.

But when you have a family, financial and personal obligations a new paradigm must take place. And hence the concept of the Responsible Dreamer. This is the person who is able to live dually in the dreams and reality, setting goals for the dreams and just possibly realizing the difference between the attainable and the pipe dream. This phrase, RD, came to me recently in conversation talking about responsibility and it popped into my head. Why can't there be such a thing as RD. Why do dreamers face a certain aura of the unexpected, unaccountable and the irresponsible? And are they really mutually exclusive to dreamers?

Like most of things, the question is about execution. In theory being a RD may in itself sound like a beautiful thing but impossible to actually achieve. I don't mean to not support my idea here, or to be a horrible realist, I just want to avoid any disappointment. Covering my bases if you will. More thoughts on this later.
