Well, the Terps were the first ACC team to lose in the Tourney tonight. Considering that at one point it looked like a Syracuse blow-out (the Orangemen were up by 16 with about 13 minutes left in the second half), to have the Terps only lose by 2, and have a shot at the tie, eases the disappointment of the loss. They came back strong and, if they were better foul shooters-a season long problem-they might have been able to pull-out the victory. I think they missed around 11 foul shots for the entire game. I look forward to next year's team. And now, go ACC!!!

Thanks, Marc

Posted by: Emily at March 21, 2004 08:20 PMA sad sight to see them leaving the tourney, but looking great for next year! I love the ACC and would love to see an ACC team win it all, but I have a firm ABD policy (Anybody But Duke)!
Posted by: Jeff Price at March 22, 2004 11:34 AMAgree with the ABD policy, despite my overall support of the ACC. It's the one college my kids are not allowed to attend. (Sorry to my friends who went to Duke)

I do not recall agreeing to assume the persona of big "M" mother. It seems more o a burden than I am prepared for, but I will consult with Woodie Allen. So, Rob, you ar pissed because some of choose to control our death and exit inour own fashion. I really understandyour sympathy for all who are hurt in the process, but it is no cause t assume a position of disrespect when you rarely know what was happening. Of course, I am overly familiar with people who struggle for months and years with terrible feelings of despondence and without hope of an alternative future, kill themselves. Many come to believe that the people they love are diminished by the very fact of their miserable existence. I had one patient ommit suicide and that still haunts me. I don't know how to read you, but wonder if you are railing aganst the ultimate abandonment we sufer in all relationships. Mental health pros, like most others, are lousy mind readers. I would hate for someone to start doing interpretations of my typos...love. big "M"
